The Futuroscope Story
Conceived as a regional development vehicle from the outset by the departmental council, Futuroscope is an economic powerhouse, driving employment and tourism in the Vienne département.
Futuroscope was the first large amusement park to open in France, before Parc Astérix (1989) and Disneyland (1992). In 2011, the leading ski resort operator La Compagnie des Alpes became a shareholder in Futuroscope, along with the Vienne council.
Since it was established in 1987, Futuroscope has welcomed 60 million visitors through its gates.
